As discussed, the final exam will be on Friday 18th May 2018 from 11.00-16.00 hrs. at Room HUM1-114.
1. We will start with a group role play highlighting the overall onboard operations (pls refer to Assignment VI - page 192). The length is approx 15 mins. You will be scored individually (5 points).
2. Each of you will be presenting your blog. The content should cover units 4-6. The length is approx 20 mins. The minimum requirement includes three items: 1. Assignment IV: The design of your own airline (airline name; IATA code; routes; aircraft types; aircraft configurations - both exterior and interior; service provided); 2. An analysis of an authentic airline's safety demo of your interest; 3. A reflection toward a Youtube vid of your choice highlighting in-flight F&B. 25 points: content (5 points), critical & flexible thinking (5 points), oral presentation (5 points), written presentation - your blog (5 points), Assignment IV (5 points) - pls refer to page 120.
3. Each of you will be doing Assignment V demonstrating an in-flight PA (pls refer to page 160). The length is approx 5 mins (5 points).
4. Each of you will be crafting a one-page essay showcasing your knowledge of airline terminology (15 points): 10 points will be from 10 selected words which have been made meaningful (0.5 points/ word) and well-elaborated (0.5 points/ word) within the airline context - pls refer to the Index of Airline Terminology on pages 206-214; 3 points will be from your essay structure; 2 points will be from the overall rhetoric used throughout your essay. The topic will be given at the start of the session. The use of textbook, electronic devices, and any printed texts is prohibited during this session. The length is 1 hour.
The total score is 50 points.
